When pressing the wheel, there is no or only a sporadic reaction on the monitor
All other functions are given (left, right, up, down, menu key)
Build the complete BMW IDrive Controller out of your vehicle.
Instructions for disassembly can be found here
There are 4 screws on the back.
Take the lid out at the back.
The reason for the defect are "cold" solder joints
A defective controller can be repaired with little effort.
Resolder the drawn contacts with solder.
Then reassemble everything in reverse order and look forward to a working iDrive!
